Our Core Values
Camp Waziyatah’s philosophy and programming are rooted in the “Core Values” of Courtesy, Integrity, Respect and Responsibility. We put these values into action by teaching kids to respect themselves, their environment and all people, and to build a healthy sense of pride, honor and kindness.

Responsibility

Mission Statement
Camp Waziyatah’s mission is to provide a safe and enjoyable camp experience and an opportunity for campers to make friends, learn skills, increase self-esteem and promote personal growth. Our program enriches the lives of campers and promotes our core values through a healthy and fun outdoor experience.
All Wazi programming is infused with these core values. At canoeing, a Wazi camper learns more than one kind of respect. Returning equipment properly is respectful to the next camper, but Wazi teaches kids to think about environmental stewardship as well. Campers respect their environment by “going green” with human power and are taught to always “leave no trace”.
