New Campers:

Get Ready to Have Fun!

 

At Wazi, Kids get to choose what they want to do on a daily basis. While we want you to try everything (who knows you may be the next greatest pro beach volleyball player) you can pick the things you like most and design a program just for you. Other fun stuff we do at Wazi include: Challenge Days, Otter Days, Socials, Mr. and Ms. Wazi contest, Lip Sync Contest, Skit Night, Team events at other camps and lots of other great things. Our counselors are the coolest. Most are from the USA, but we have counselors coming from the UK, South Africa, Hungary, Germany, and Australia. Before you know it, you'll be saying, “No, worries!”

 

• Bed times vary by age group between 10:00PM and 10:30PM
• Tons of activity choices
• Try anything and everything - we won’t push or judge you

 

Returning Campers:

Welcome Back to Wazi!

 

Have you been keeping up with your camp pals in OtterChat? Last summer was great and next summer will be even better. We plan on introducing some new events like the Wazithon, Camp Court, and Treasure Hunt. If you stayed 3 or 4 weeks last year, think about 8 this year. Bring a friend and get ready for another summer of fun. And don’t forget that any camper who brings a new friend to Wazi gets a FREE, Wazi engraved IPOD!

 

Camper Bill of Rights and Code of Conduct:

As a Waziyatah Camper, I have the following rights:

 

1. The right to enjoy camp and have fun!
2. The right to a safe and appropriate environment.
3. The right to report in confidence, any inappropriate behavior to myself or others, to my counselor and Division Director.
4. The right to have my questions, concerns and opinions seriously regarded.
5. The right to expect that my own possessions will not be abused or misused.

 

Camper Code of Conduct

 

As a Waziyatah Camper, I agree to follow the rules and regulations of Camp including but not limited to:

 

1. Camp Waziyatah maintains a zero tolerance for drugs, tobacco, alcohol, and aggressive behavior including verbal and physical assaults.
2. Camper will follow the directions of directors, counselors, and staff.
3. Camper is to stay within camp boundaries unless accompanied by an authorized member of the staff.
4. Camper is not permitted to enter staff housing areas or opposite-gender cabins.
5. Camper is permitted in other same-gender cabins if invited by a member of that living group or counselor.
6. Camper will respect the property and belongings of others.
7. Camper will be polite and respect the feelings of others.
8. Camper will not use offensive language or offensive gestures.
9. Camper will not in any way bully or verbally or physically assault another individual or group.
10. Camper will not engage in any inappropriate sexual behavior with another camper or staff member.
11. Camper will attend and participate in all organized activities.
12. Camper will not keep food or candy in cabins.
13. Camper will not use cell phones or the Internet while at camp and will turn over cell phones and non-approved electronic devices upon arrival at camp.
14. Camper will report any and all bullying and/or inappropriate behavior to their counselor and Division Directors.
